I usually feel well-informed about what's happening in Stavanger, but sometimes I get surprised. Recently, Nikki discovered a new spot in the heart of the city while she was browsing on IG – the place is called Will I Juice . Will I Juice, seems to originate from Kristiansand and has now set up shop in Galleri 4 (in Breigata), surrounded by stores like Høyer and Outland. The place features a variety of seating options, including round tables, small tables for two, and sofas, with a view of Breigata outside. The place might not be that cozy as it is in a open space in the middle of this small mall.
Their menu offers poke bowls, salads, sandwiches, fresh juice, smoothies, and more.
We decided to visited them on a Saturday afternoon for a lunch just a few days after the opening and we ordered a chicken wrap, a Buddha Bowl, and some juice. The juice is made in-house and bottled in plastic containers. I had the "5 a day juice," which included oranges, carrots, apple, lemon, strawberries, and ginger. It was delicious, though I would have preferred a stronger carrot flavor, but that's just my taste.
My spicy mango chicken wrap was also very good, filled with chicken, sweet potato, mango, feta cheese, and other ingredients. However, the portion was quite large for me. Nikki ordered the Buddha Bowl, a quinoa-based dish with falafel, sweet potato, pesto cashew nuts, and more. It was also a large portion, and she couldn't finish it.
Overall, it's exciting to see a new addition to Stavanger's food scene! Next time, we'll probably share a meal to avoid food waste. Welcome to Stavanger Will.i.juice!
